Choirs, salons, opera, lectures, workshops. Whatever stirs you, there is a seat with your name on it. Tell us who you are, and we will take it from there.

Why we ask: we are currently able to accept applications from people aged 18 and over. We are in the process of arranging Garda vetting and safeguarding training for our representatives, and once that is in place we will be delighted to welcome younger singers and participants too. If you are under 18, we would still love to hear from you: tell us about yourself, and we will keep your details safely on file and get in touch when we are ready to welcome you properly.

Why we ask, and how we handle your information

Why we ask about age: some parts of Unhinged are for people aged 18 and over, and the date of birth lets us honour that properly. It also helps us plan rehearsals and casting, because vocal development genuinely matters in choirs.

Why we ask about gender and pronouns: Unhinged is a queer-led organisation, and inclusion is the point of who we are. Knowing how people in our community identify helps us make sure every space we run genuinely serves everyone in it. These questions are always optional, and "prefer not to say" is always a perfectly good answer.

How we handle your information:

  • Your details are stored securely on our own servers, in the European Union.
  • They are seen only by the people who run Unhinged, which today means Rob Partridge and Oran Tobin.
  • We never sell your information and never share it with anyone else.
  • We use it only to consider your application and to keep in touch with you about the parts of Unhinged you are interested in.
  • You can ask us to see what we hold, correct it, or delete it at any time, no questions asked, by emailing hello@unhinged.ie.
  • The lawful basis for holding your details is your consent, which is why the tickbox above exists. You can withdraw it at any time.

Applications from people under 18 are held on file until we have Garda vetting and safeguarding in place, and are then only used with guardian consent.
